Incredible Wedding Photography

New York Minute

I arrived in the city the afternoon before Rebecca and Greg’s wedding part 2, to check out the wedding location and skip around Manhattan a bit. Equipped with my camera and a wide angle zoom lens I snapped a few photos worth sharing.

After checking out the Public Library on 5th Avenue, I walked through beautiful Bryant Park and spotted a father photographing his two sons sporting their first suits. This young man was particularly dapper!

Further along in the park… I was spotted by “Olga” from Russia while the woman to her right napped in the afternoon sun.

On my way to Times Square…I am always fascinated by people’s reactions to life happenings. In this case, a tourist has a caricature done of herself while her friends and others watch the progress.

Of course, I had to stop in to the Toys R Us in Times Square to pick out a little something for the kids. Not only was it big enough to fit an entire ferris wheel, it was very colorful too.

The tyrannosaurus was so life-like I stood around to watch for a moment, but my real amusement came when the beast gave a mighty roar and made all the kids cry.

A Special Gift

Summer and Baxter recently received these beautiful hand-knit sweaters from Grandma Abbie from Tucson. We had to take some photos to show how adorable they look on the kids. Don’t worry grandma…we’ll make you some “real” prints too! The kids weren’t thrilled to endure a modeling session, but eventually they cracked a few smiles.

Art Inspires Art

Back in January, Katharine Montstream, an amazing painter from Burlington, called to tell me that she admired a photograph I had taken that was published in the Burlington Free Press; she asked if she could use the photo as inspiration for a watercolor painting for a 2006 Christmas card! I was so thrilled! Katharine sent me the card today and I think it is more beautiful than my photograph!! You can see for yourself…

If you happen to be in the Burlington area this weekend, they are having an open studio where you can come see some of her fresh work, meet her and her family, and buy some incredible artwork, cards, etc.!

Make your own sunshine!

With a flock of soggy sheep as witnesses, I photographed Rebecca and Gregg’s beautiful and intimate “farm wedding” on Friday in the pouring rain. If rain on your wedding day brings good luck then this couple will have a lifetime of it!! I am photographing their more traditional wedding in New York City on Sunday at The Library Hotel. Before the ceremony, we will be running around town snapping urban wedding photos. What an incredibly fun couple, totally in love...I can hardly wait…
