Making History
During the fall, my favorite Burlington Free Press journalist, Michelle Edelbaum, and I embarked on a 13-hour road trip up through Vermont's Northeast Kingdom. Our goal was to come up with a fall folliage tour that was off the beaten path. We had such a fun adventure and I still can't believe we were paid for it! Seriously!
So, in early November, Michelle wrote me a note that said my favorite U.S. Senator Patrick Leahy liked our Kingdom Gems story so much that he entered it into the Congressional Record. You can read it HERE!!
To my surprise, a few days ago, the photo editor called to let me know that a surprise package was waiting for me at the paper. Enclosed was a letter from Senator Leahy and a copy of the Congressional Record. He is THE BEST!!!
