Courtney + Ryan's Rockin' E-session!

Mea Culpa! I have been a very naughty blogger!! I have two more gorgeous weddings and two more fun e-sessions after this one, so I'd better get on the ball before wedding season kicks up again on March 14th!!

Since I'm trying to go in order, I'll start off with Courtney + Ryan....
They will be tying the knot in the very quaint town of Woodstock this spring. I met up with them in the town of Barre "Granite Center of the World" on a perfectly crispy fall day. I knew we were going to have a blast the moment I saw Court's "hiking shoes!" We spent most of our session in side splitting laughter.
This spot is part of the Millstone Hill trails and I found it while photographing it the day before for a magazine assignment. It's an abandoned rock quarry and it is spectacular for walking/running, mountain biking or shooting a completely adorable couple!!

Fun with Jasmine Star + her posse in Vegas!!

Ever since I met photographer and super sweetheart Jasmine Star at WPPI in Las Vegas a couple years ago I have been a loyal blog stalker of hers. I adore her and I am constantly wowed and inspired by her work/art. I don't always have time to post a comment (and she'd probably get tired of my gushing anyway!) but the second I saw THIS POST I knew I had to write! So it was a wonderful surprise to see THIS POST a few days later!!
I knew the biggest challenge of the shoot would be meeting up on Tuesday morning at 6:45. It's not that it's so early for an east coast gal, but Monday night was jammed packed with fun parties (that post later.) In fact, I rolled into bed at 2am Tuesday morning. I was so terrified of missing the alarm that I didn't sleep a wink!! Fortunately, I was just in time and Jasmine greeted me with a big cheerful hello. Of course she did...she is that sweet!! : )

Here are some of my favorites from our morning together.....

**Since this was one of my first times since my November shoulder surgery holding a real camera (my new Canon 5D Mark II), I opted for a light lens, the 50 f/1.2**

Jasmine + her darling hubby JD
Jasmine + yours truly. : )

Jasmine posted a few highlights from the shoot on her blog.

A HUGE THANKS to our amazing models Jaclyn + Mark for flying all the way from Kansas to take part in this experience!! Jaclyn is a photographer too (check out her blog HERE!) and she and Mark didn't have any photos of them together. Now they'll have photos coming out of their ears!!

But most of all THANK YOU JASMINE for sharing your smile, laughter, and amazing gift with all of us!! oxox

P.S. Jasmine's full blog post on the shoot is HERE!!

E-Session Fun with Tonra + Sean!

On a crisp autumn day, I met up with the completely adorable Tonra + Sean at one of their favorite hang outs, The West Bolton Golf Course. It didn't take long to figure out where we were going to meet up, as golfing is something they love to do together. However, the moment I spied some big rocks and a red barn we were tromping through the high weeds to get there. Good thing they are such good sports!
It was such a joy capturing their playful spirit and Andy and I are really looking forward to their wedding at the Grand Isle Lake House next fall!

Mario + Katie's Magical Marriage at The Lounsbury House

Location: The Lounsbury House in Ridgefield, CT
Catering: Ciao! Cafe + Two Steps Catering
Flowers: Mamaroneck Flowers
Music: The Saints of Swing
Entertainment: Cardone the Magician
Cake: Lovely Cakes
Stationery: Inkylivie
Dress: Nicole Miller

From the moment I looked over Katie + Mario's wedding website, I knew we were going to be involved with an amazing + unforgettable event.

Their site starts like this...
"Ladies & Gentlemen, gals and lads, don your fancy garb and
come witness Mario the Magician and his lovely assistant,
Kathryn Elizabeth, as they perform their greatest feat yet!"

Their wedding had it all: style, charm, emotion, character and characters. I felt like I was in an old black + white film and was truly disappointed when the evening was over. Fortunately, we captured it for you to enjoy....

p.s. Andy toned their whole slideshow in black + white to give it the vintage feel.
To watch it CLICK HERE!! Oh, and the music was written + performed by Mario himself. Soooo romantic!!

Katie + Mario Featured on Style Me Pretty

Andy and I had the privilege of photographing Katie + Mario's vintage-themed wedding in the fall. Mario is a talented magician and Katie is his gorgeous assistant and their day was simply magical. It caught the eye of a couple popular wedding blogs: Style Me Pretty and Offbeat Bride, a Spanish blog Vintage & Chic and an artist, Heather of Audrey Eclectic.

I will post up my very favorites from their day here later today or tomorrow...so check back soon!
