Nicole + Bill's wedding was the perfect way to end our 2008 season. I loved everything about the day: the happy couple, their guests, the location, the sunny blue sky, the crispy leaves, etc. etc.
So without further ado, their spectacular day...

The day was so relaxed + peaceful. It was so fun photographing Nicole's transformation into a bride.
Andy captured Bill in action.
The gals from the Makeup Artist Guild are wonderful!

There is something so beautiful about this moment.
A collection of details...
Nicole was STUNNING!!

It looks like Bill and his best man were having a friendly little wrestling match here.
Nicole and her maid of honor were so full of laughter + giggles!
Nicole's Mom escorted her down the aisle.
Here comes the bride...
The ceremony under the willow trees begins...
I love this!!

A little music for the newlyweds...

Didn't I tell you it was a perfect blue sky day?
These little guys were so cute!!
We had plenty of time for some fun fall photos of Bill + Nicole.

More pretty details...
The first dance was so sweet. These two are crazy in love.
The little guys stole the show on the dance floor...
See what I mean?
The barn was decorated so beautifully! I loved all of the twinkling lights and the natural centerpieces...
And they lived happily ever after.

Stuff that Parents Love

Turns out that I fibbed...
I am squeezing in another personal post before the last wedding of the year.
I hope you don't mind too much. : )
Last night the 1st through 4th graders in Baxter's House at school put on an international performance. The students studied different cultures and the show was a culmination of their studies. I had to bring my camera along, of course, to capture the cuteness.

Baxter studied Egypt. Ask him a question, he is now an expert.
Here, Baxter is giving me the look...ok mom, hurry up and take this photo cause you're embarrasing me. Sorry Baxter, but it's a mom's job to torture their kids.
a little Egyptian
Getting dolled up for the performance.
Summer + Baxter's 1st and 2nd grade teacher, Miss Deforge, who we adore!
These students studied Kenya.

I would have like to have taken a photo from the front, but this is almost funnier.
The French processional.

so colorful.
The little guy on the left is Jacques Cousteau.

Local Talent

It has been a while since I've posted anything personal, so I thought while I'm selecting my favorite images from the last wedding of 2008, I'd keep you amused with some images from our local school's 10th annual FAP (Families as Partners) Variety Show. It's always packed with good wholesome entertainment from the kids, teachers, and others as well.
Since Summer was in a play recently down at the Waterfront Theater with two girls from her school, they decided to perform in the talent show as well, so it was extra fun for me to watch this year!
Enjoy....

The St. Andrews Pipes + Drums started the show with a Scottish bagpipe welcome.
The MC extraordinaire
The Callipe Band Ensemble rocked the house with a tune from Ringo Starr and Pure Prairie League.
A couple of second graders danced to Demi Lovato.

My daughter's awesome teacher Mr. Al Myers played a solo.
Elise played Fur Elise. How perfect.
The Urban Dance Complex showed a little attitude.
Miss Mia performed a beautiful solo from Les Miserables.
The next several are from Summer, Laura and Elizabeth's skit: The Role of Della. Here's Laura.
Elizabeth.

Summer played a casting director.

The girls were brilliant, but they need to work on making their bow a little longer. I was lucky to get this one!
This first grader stole the show with his ukulele solo. Later in the evening he melted our hearts when he won the big raffle cash prize and donated it back to the school. Adorable, talented + generous!
This kid and his brother played a tune from The Fray.
It was a true Kumbaya moment when the audience sang along to this groovy group's rendition of "Let it Be" by The Beatles.

These gals flawlessly performed "You are my Sunshine"
The Movement Center Dance Company JuMP! performed "Boogie Fever"
Loved the harp music.
The Heather Morris Celtic Dancers.
Duncan Yandell played a fun fiddle medley.
The audience got up and danced along with Duncan's fiddling.

E-Session: Tracy + Alex

Tracy + Alex had the distinct honor of being my last engagement session of 2008. We met up at the Shelburne Orchards which was a beautiful backdrop for their autumn session. I loved their playfulness and their love for each other was so fun to capture. Once you see the photos you won't believe that they were camera shy at the start!
Tracy + Alex are getting married at the Round Barn Farm this July and we will be so excited to hang out with these two lovebirds again!!

Elyse + Paul's Beautiful Burlington Wedding!

Hair + Make-up: Stephen + Burns
Cermony: St. Joseph's Co-Cathedral
Reception/Catering: Burlington Country Club
Flowers: Nancy with Schoolhouse Garden

You may remember Elyse and Paul from their beautiful E-Session down in the Burlington Intervale. Since that day I had been sooo excited to photograph their wedding and meet their whole cast of characters. The wedding day was SPECTACULAR! It couldn't have been a crisper more beautiful autumn day!! I am thrilled to share their photos with you...

Elyse didn't need much help in the beauty department.
The maids take off for Elyse's parents' home to dress.
Paul has such a classic James Bond look, don't you think?
Let's give the groom's shoes a little attention for once.
But we still have to give some love to Elyse's pretty shoes.
I adore this one!
The girls get dolled up.
The very dashing groom.
Transporting the gown downstairs.
Peek-a-boo!
The guys arrive at the church.
Going to the chapel....
I love this photo that Andy captured.
Elyse and her Dad walk down the aisle.
The Co-Cathedral is stunning!

Congratulations Elyse + Paul!! :)
I have a thing for reflections...
The next two are so romantic...

The limo passed by a school playground and I was lucky to capture this moment...
The details were gorgeous...
...but not as gorgeous as the bride!
We had a fun, but brief, photo session as it was ch-chilly out!

I love this angle Andy captured.
Love the shadows!!

A few more details...
Introducing the newlyweds!!
Crazy in love!!
We dashed back outside for a minute just as the sun was setting. Such a pretty time for photos.
Smokin'!
