Fun with the "P" Family

Between weddings, e-sessions and editorial work, I don't end up with too much extra time during the warmer months for family sessions, but I always love doing them. I simply adore children. They are so beautiful, fun and expressive!! But it's never without a challenge. Perhaps they are tired or grouchy or shy. Sometimes half the battle is getting them to trust me and my gigantic, scary camera. I always come equipped with a sense of humor, lots of patience and lots of film cards and the rewards are plentiful!!

I hope that every family, at some point, invests in a family photo session. To capture your child's personality on film is priceless!!

I met up with the "P" family on a very overcast day this fall. The best color and light were at the railroad tracks that I spied near their place. So that is where we went! They were great sports, even when the kids' hands were black with dirt. That is what soap is for, right? :)

Happy Halloween!

Our pals, the Pasley's, have been inviting us along for trick-or-treating fun in our neighborhood for several years. It's quite a hike between houses in our hood, so those Pasleys cart us around in the back of their pick up truck (very slowly, so don't worry!), complete with haybails and glowing orange lights, so the kids can maximize the amount of loot and make the journey more fun for all. (In other words less walking = less whining.)
This year our friend Luke and his kids joined in the festivities.

Andy and Luke make sure the kids don't roll out of the truck.

This one's a little spooky.

***Tomorrow will be a big day as we have a booth at the Vermont Vows Wedding Affair. This year it will be held at the majestic Shelburne Farms and it will be amazing!!
If you are getting married in 2009 and attending the show, stop by our booth to say hello and get a goody!!***
