Vermont Wedding & Family Portrait Photographer

My name is Daria Bishop and it’s lovely to meet you.

Since you found my site I’m sure you are a little curious about the person behind the images…

When I’m not out documenting life or editing, I'm living the Vermont dream. During the warmer months you’ll find me mountain biking, gardening, paddle boarding, or hiking around the green mountains. In the the winter I'm nordic skiing, binge watching Netflix and dreaming of a warm sunny beach somewhere… anywhere.

So now you’re probably wondering a little about my photography…

I’m a visual story teller. I capture the story of the people, the location, the thoughtful details, the joy and the love that make each wedding so unique. It’s such an honor to be a part of one of a couple’s best days ever!

I’ve been fortunate to have had a full career as a photographer. I was a freelance photojournalist for Vermont’s biggest daily paper for many years and have done editorial work for several national publications, as well as being a regular contributor to Vermont Life magazine. I have photographed hundreds of weddings. Big weddings, small weddings, some simple, some lavish. I approach each and every wedding with excitement and a fresh perspective. Additionally, I photograph special events, engagement and family sessions, head shots and client based work. My favorite subject to photograph? People! I’m 100% a people person.

Oh! I also love to travel, so invite me along on your wedding adventure… my passport is ready!

A few fun things about me:

  • My all time favorite is the Wizard of Oz. It’s the ultimate hero's journey.

  • I grew up in the San Francisco Bay area, lived in Belgium for 3 years and now call Vermont home.

  • I once had a funny pig named Gretel. She forever ruined bacon for me.

  • I have a collection of over 300 Pez dispensers… and I don’t like the candy.

  • NPR is my jam.

  • I chase rainbows and pretty sunsets.
